Rod O’Shea is a founder of the Qi Gong/Tai Chi program in the Town of Greenburgh. In 2005, he helped us establish Qi Gong classes to our students and included both Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes as a part of theTown of Greenburgh’s programs.

Yao Wah Chan

Yao Wah Chan is a Tai Chi Master of Qi Gong Westchester program. He has studied martial arts since he was 5 yeas old. In 1972 he met a Tai Chi master (Pang-Na Chang), who studied with a third generation Yang style master. Since then Yao has been training and teaching various techniques on different levels: Sword, Shaolin staff, herbal medicine, accupressure, accupuncture, nutrition, I Ching, Tao Te Ching, Taoist Qi Gong.

Jian Yang Rong

Jian Yang Rong is an certified Qi Gong Therapist and instructor. She started learning Yang Style Tai Chi and Yang Style Tai Chi sword in the 1970’s. In 1980’s Jian studied Mathematics and Computer Science and received a Master Degree in IS from City College in 1992. Qi Gong has become an important part of her life for health reasons. After that she continued to learn Qi Gong in-depth which included Wu Ji Qi Gong, Da Yang Gong and Taoist Qi Gong, in 2005 she studied Qi Gong healing techniges with Lisa O’Shea, the founder of the Qi Gong Institute of Rochester, and received Qi Gong Therapist’s certification in 2006. Since then Jian has been teaching Tai Chi 24 forms, Tai Chi sword, a variety of Qi Gong exercises as well as offering private Qi Gong Therapy.
In 2007, Jian studied 18 Lo Han Qi Gong from Dr. Jay Dunbar, the founder and director/shifu of The Magic Tortoise Taijiquan School. In 2009, Jian studied Chen Style Tai Chi and Chen Style Tai Chi sword from Master Xiuming Jin. In 2012, Jian has continued to study Qi Gong/meditation and Qi Gong healing in New York Bodhi Meditation Center and has completed Level 3 class in Vancouver Bodhi Meditation Center. In 2017, Jian studied Chen Style Tai Chi from teacher Chang Rong Sun and received Chen Style 24 form Team Gold Metal on the 8th New York Taichi Competition in 2018
